A modern style wine, providing hefty amounts of fruit and concentration and also combining the finesse, typicality, elegance and style of the best Rioja Tempranillo. This wine is the personal selection of Jaime Simón, Winemaker at Viñedos y Bodegas La Marquesa, of the best wines from the excellent 2010 vintage, to celebrate the birth of Nicolás, his first child and future representative of the sixth generation of the family.

 

Made with 80% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano and 5% mazuelo grapes from old, low-yield vines. Aged for 21 months in barrels of oak from different provenances made by the most reputed coopers.

It is a wine that is getting considerable attention in its first vintage, getting excellent reviews & scores (2014 Proensa Guide: 97 points; 2014 Peñín Guide: 92 points and The Wine Advocate-R. Parker: 91 points)
