In 2015 Bodegas Franco Españolas is celebrating throughout the year its 125th anniversary. It propose that you not only come to visit it but you also stay for a meal. Visit a highly-regarded winery of La Rioja, where you will wander around our different rooms full of history. A story that it started writing in 1890, discover our secrets and mysteries on how we have been making first class wine for over a century. After the visit of an hour, a commentated wine tasting, where your senses will awaken with two of its wines.
– Rioja Bordon Reserva: a mouth-filling wine, full of shades, its quality is supported by numerous medals from national and international contests and very high score points from the best magazines of the wine sector.
– Barón D´Anglade Reserva Especial: a tribute to the French founder of Bodegas Franco-Españolas is its most treasured wine inside and out. Inside selected grapes from old vines and ageing in French oak and on the outside a label recovered from an old menu where you can appreciate views of the front and back of the winery´s original building.
The meal is a typical menu from La Rioja: Potatoes with chorizo (a la riojana), Roast lamb with green salad and Homemade Torrija (bread soaked in milk and fried in batter with sugar)
Accompanied with Viña Soledad Blanco (white wine) and Rioja Bordón Crianza (red wine), the menu includes bread, mineral water, coffee or infusions and liqueur
