Red wine made by Bodegas Baigorri from the variety Tempranillo, sourced from old vines (>60 years) with a limited productions, estate-grown in vineyards (Carrasanvicente, Carranavarides, El Caño, Murriarte), situated in the village Samaniego, Rioja Alavesa.
After a manual picking, all the grapes are hand-selected, berry per berry, using vibration and selection tables. Long macerations and intracellular fermentations with indigenous yeasts in wooden fermenters. Natural extractions by gravity. Malolactic fermentation and 24 months ageing in new French oak barrels.
Intensive and dark cherry-red wine. Aromas of fresh black fruits and minerals; spicy and very fresh. Elegant, complex and vivid on the palate. Very long finish.
