Rioja publishes a book that celebrates its 100 years of history

Written by the specialized journalist and director of the magazine La Prensa del Rioja, Javier Pascual, offers through 232 pages a current vision of the first Spanish do and analyzes the keys to its success

Coinciding with Book Day, the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Qualified Origin Rioja has published a commemorative book of your centenary. The work, of limited edition and written by the specialized journalist and director of the magazine La Prensa del Rioja, Javier Pascual, offers a current vision of Rioja throughout his 232 pages, with the people who have made it and make it possible in the center of the story, as a conductive axis.

Structured in 5 chapters, the author exhibits in this book the keys to Rioja's development and success as one of the world's main wine regions. "It is a privilege and a great honor that the Regulatory Council has counted with me for the realization of this special edition, which is the result of the almost five decades in which I have had the opportunity to work in a sector in which I have been able to meet so many people capable of infecting the passion that raises how much surrounds the culture of wine", says Javier Pascual, author of the book.

Accompanied by file and current images, with a careful aesthetic and a luxury binding, the journalist offers with his story the opportunity to rediscover the values ​​that have based the reference positioning of Rioja and analyze its differentiated identity from a new perspective: the human factor, and not only the product and the territory, regular protagonists.

"This book is an invitation to celebrate the path traveled and provide for those who have made it possible, but also to continue imagining and configuring their future together, so that Rioja continues to write its history with the same ambition", says Fernando Ezquerro, president of the Doca Rioja Regulatory Council.

The Regulatory Council is aimed at an intense period of activity related to the positioning and promotion of the centenary of the Doc, with multiple events and special actions where the book "Rioja, one hundred reasons to provide", which value the successes achieved by the denomination, will be delivered as a special gift.
